"Two for Joy" mural in the Franklin Underpass connects east and west Bend
Update: Kaycee Anseth passed peacefully the morning if March 16th, 2020. She will be missed, but her spirit lives on through the light she shared with us. Donate to the Kaycee Anseth Legacy Foundation to assist in its mission to beautify, heal, and unite our community by removing financial obstacles for Central Oregon artists and amplifying their ability to create.
Yesterday marked the official Grand Opening of the #ProjectUnderpass mural by local artist Kaycee Anseth. The mural is titled “Two for Joy” and it is the product of a collaboration between the BCD Initiative and local artist Kaycee Anseth to reimagine the Franklin Avenue Corridor as a safe, welcoming, and vibrant public space.
Bend’s Mayor Sally Russell, City Councilors Gena Goodman-Campbell and Barb Campbell, and community members celebrated with the artist and her family despite the rainy day. This project was made possible by the dedication and support of many volunteers, donors, and the arts community. Download the report with final statistics here: #ProjectUnderpass Report.
